CCA Background
In 1990, future CCA founder and CEO, Mark McGivern, found himself embroiled in a battle with his town government over water that had leaked into his basement, causing thousands of dollars in damages. The leak was traced to a faulty water meter, but the Town's insurer denied that it was responsibility since the equipment was on Mr. McGivern's property, even though it belonged to the town.
With an exemplary background in construction and a determination to see justice done, Mark investigated and documented every aspect of the incident himself until he had built an overwhelming stack of evidence to prove the town at fault. He spent three months researching water meters and talking to town engineers from the surrounding communities. By proving that his meter was 35 years old, and that the accepted practice was to replace the meters every 10-15 years, he won his case, and from this grew a vision of a company with the expertise and dedication to find rock-solid conclusions in difficult cases. Learning from the frustration he experienced fighting his case, he came to believe that such a company could take the stress and complexity out of these cases for its clients.
Mr. McGivern partnered with award-winning architect Clark Griffith to form the backbone of CCA. Together, they have grown CCA into an Architectural and Engineering powerhouse, providing investigative services to the insurance, legal and condominium industries. Today, CCA operates nationally from offices in five states spread across the U.S. and has earned a reputation for its professionalism and tenacity.
