SUMMARY:
CCA provides design services for both the residential and commercial communities. With interest in historic preservation as well as historically accurate detailing, CCA has restored older homes and buildings incorporating Preservation Design Guidelines.
Designated historic buildings require plan review and approval from the local Historic District Commission to protect them from unwanted and inappropriate changes in materials and appearance. Working with historic commissions and local review boards during design, CCA professionals collaborate in the assessment of a building’s history and are sensitive to original materials and their replacement during the restoration process.
CCA has also successfully designed new homes in the vernacular of older homes, with special features such as wrap around porches and classical trim detailing, while incorporating today’s modern energy efficient amenities.
