SUMMARY:
One Charles Condominiums, a sixteen-story luxury condominium development is located one block from the historic Boston Public Gardens. The condo association retained CCA to investigate the transfer of smoke and odors between units and other suspected construction deficiencies. CCA’s investigation identified the ventilation root causes, provided cost estimating, and Indoor Air Quality analysis to assist the owner in correcting the problems. CCA provided alternate design and equipment recommendations for air quality improvements, coordination, and construction management services during the remediation. Based on extensive document review and analysis of existing mechanical components, CCA provided expert opinions and testimony. The Condominium association received monetary compensation to cover costs.
