As a founding partner of CCA, Clark is involved in the company’s full range of architectural, engineering, and building consultant services. He has been a practicing architect for over 30 years and has an extensive background in residential, commercial, and institutional design projects. Clark provides clients with deep expertise in programming, design, building evaluation, building and life safety codes, budgets, professional standards of care, and contract documents.
Clark directs provides architectural work, from the design and construction administration of new projects to in-depth investigations for the legal, insurance, and private communities. He has provided expert opinions in civil litigation – his articulate, persuasive, and dispositive testimony has served both plaintiffs and defendants. He is qualified to testify as an expert in multiple states and has authored numerous expert reports on design defects, code investigations, and life safety issues.
Clark has additionally served as an expert for the United States Department of Justice in investigations of private-sector compliance with Federal public accessibility requirements (i.e., the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act). With a passionate interest in historical structures, Clark has served on a number of historic building boards in the Boston area.
He is registered with the Massachusetts Architectural License and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and holds an affiliation with the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
