Taylor James Pierce, RA, NCARB is a senior architect working with CCA's construction forensic and design practice. As a project manager, he oversees and orchestrates CCA's team of specialists as well as providing remedial design and expert opinions for construction and building forensic matters.
Taylor is experienced in forensic investigations, building envelope evaluations, architectural restoration, urban planning, construction administration, and project management. Prior to joining CCA, he gained extensive experience in residential, historical, commercial, and institutional projects, working with a variety of stakeholders. As an architect and consultant, he has been involved in all phases and coordination of project elements, construction documentation, and forensic investigations.
He is a licensed architect in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, and Florida. He also holds an NCARB Record, is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), is a LEED accredited professional, and serves on the Landmarks Preservation Board for the City of Yonkers. He advises on matters of historical compliance for residential and commercial projects.
He holds a masters in architecture from Pratt Institute and a BS in architecture from the
University of Illinois, Chicago. Taylor lives along the beautiful Hudson River in Yonkers, NY with his wife and two children. He maintains an active personal life by attending local arts and cultural events, coaching soccer, taking advantage of the great culinary offerings in the river towns, and performing as frontman in an eclectic local rock band, The Patroons. To keep his creative eye and hand nimble, Taylor enjoys photography, and painting, and sketching ideas for large-scale sculptures.
