CCA, a forensic engineering, architectural, and construction consulting firm is searching for a forensic registered Architect with 15 plus years of experience to lead its Architectural forensic practice for the coming decade plus. CCA has offices in Burlington, Massachusetts and New York City.
CCA performs investigations of buildings on behalf of building owners, insurance companies, and their attorneys. CCA performs cause and origin studies, scope of damage analysis, and litigation support for buildings, construction problems, and related damages. The candidate will have a passion for problem solving, learning new skills, and expressing concepts in written and spoken word. The candidate needs to be technically strong and articulate. The candidate must be able to and enthusiastically perform field investigations throughout the country. The candidate must proactively assist our clients, develop relationships, maintain customer relations, and generate business opportunities. Prior working experience at a forensic consulting firm is a must.
Ability to lead and be a member of a multi-disciplined team is necessary. A strong interest and experience in building performance and the building envelope is required. Experience in building construction processes including contracts, contract documents, submittals, field quality assurance, field safety, scheduling, and cost control is a must. This individual will be expected to assist in and execute investigations of existing buildings and to design remedial repairs.
The candidate will be expected to present opinions in oral and written reports. Excellent written and oral presentation skills are required. The candidate needs to be able to testify as an expert witness in court. Job success will depend on this skill.
