SUMMARY:
At the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), a $15.35 million dollar design project was undertaken to build a new Radioactive Liquid Waste Treatment Facility (RLWTF). The RLWTF intended to capture, store, and treat Category II, low level radioactive waste run-off in the event of a fire or natural disaster. Prior to completion, LANL claimed against the design-build contractor that errors and omissions, and other defects threatened and delayed the completion of the project. On behalf of the contractor, CCA’s investigation and review of available documents revealed that Los Alamos National Laboratory allegations lacked sufficient detail and were without merit.
