SUMMARY:

Marina Point, originally constructed in the late 1980’s, consists of two nine-story high-rise towers, with two hundred forty-five luxury condominiums.  During renovation, claims were made that the installation of the new panelized, rain screen, exterior wall system was defective resulting in water intrusion and interior damages. In support of litigation, CCA was engaged to investigate, analyze, and report on the sources and extent of alleged defects. CCA concluded that the leaks and damages at the condominiums were attributable to several factors. These included insufficient investigation and documentation of existing building conditions prior to design, and deficient design and installation of the proposed exterior wall system. CCA provided testimony in deposition and court hearings.
