Complex occupational health issues require experienced professionals to develop effective solutions.

CCA’s team of doctorate-level health scientists, Certified Industrial Hygienists, and Professional Engineers help our clients develop effective strategies to identify, characterize, assess, and control occupational exposures. We offer a broad scope services ranging from single air monitoring projects to comprehensive exposure assessments and litigation support for complex legal cases. Our seasoned environmental health experts and industrial hygienists help to limit our client’s occupational health risks, including damage to employee’s health, regulatory non-compliance, and potential legal liability.

Our industrial hygiene services include:

  • Chemical Exposure Assessments and Testing:
    • Comprehensive Exposure Assessments. Detailed assessments of the workplace to identify, assess and prioritize specific needs for further assessment and air monitoring.
    • Personal Air Monitoring. Collection and quantification of chemical contaminants using OSHA and NIOSH validated sampling methods. Chemical analysis is conducted using AIHA accredited industrial hygiene laboratories.
    • Exposure Determinations. Exposure determination assistance for OSHA substance specific chemicals, to include silica, lead, cadmium, beryllium, arsenic, hexavalent chromium, etc.
    • Statistical Analysis. Statistical analysis of exposure data to quantitatively characterize employee exposures and define targeted intervention methods.
  • Noise Monitoring and Hearing Conservation:
    • Preliminary noise surveys to identify high-noise areas and employee exposure groups requiring further evaluation.
    • Personal noise dosimetry to determine compliance with the OSHA action level and permissible exposure limit.
    • Hearing conservation program development, including noise control strategies, employee training, personal protective equipment, and on-going monitoring.
  • Industrial Ventilation Testing:
    • Laboratory fume hood, paint booth, and industrial local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing and certification in accordance with ANSI/AIHA/ASSE Z9.5, SEFA, ASHRAE 110, and the ACGIH Industrial Ventilation Manual to include:
